Named by Cistercian Monks in 1204, Beaulieu, meaning “beautiful place” {beau-lieu}, is a private estate owned by Lord Montagu.

Beaulieu resides within the New Forest national park, established by its legacy as a former Royal hunting ground. The New Forest flourishes with a harmonious blend of wild heathland and ancient trees which play host to a plethora of flora and fauna including the famous New Forest ponies who roam freely, as well as donkeys, cows, pigs and more.
