PoB Recommends: Hotels with Michelin Star restaurants across the British Isles
29 March 2023
With the announcement of the hotly anticipated 2023 Michelin Guide this week, we’ve rounded up some of the very best restaurants to receive the coveted Michelin Star accolade at hotels across the British Isles.
Where fine food meets exceptional hospitality, create lasting Michelin memories and extend your experience with an overnight stay – switch off, make the most of that carefully curated wine list, and allow the chef to take you on a gastronomic journey.
Sussex
Gravetye Manor
This Michelin-starred restaurant at Gravetye Manor is home to delicious British dishes, some of which include ingredients from their very own garden. And with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grounds and Sussex countryside, the food is just the start of what makes this place so special.
Rutland
Hambleton Hall
The Dining Room at Hambleton Hall is a proud owner of the UK’s longest-retained Michelin star. Whatever you order, every dish is delicious at this award-winning restaurant: be it a poached fillet of turbot, slow-cooked octopus, or a black fig tart for dessert. And whenever possible, the team uses local ingredients to create a seasonal menu that's hard to beat.
The Lake District
SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel and Lake House
It's no surprise this restaurant has been awarded a Michelin Star. SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel combines fresh local produce and enticing flavours to produce something totally unique. It's what they call "Modern British cuisine with a twist".
Lancashire

The Cotswolds
Restaurant Hywel Jones at Lucknam Park
An unforgettable dining experience where the fullest of flavours are served in the most elegant setting of Lucknam Park. Restaurant Hywel Jones is named after Michelin-Star-winning chef, Hywel Jones - which in itself says enough about the quality of this special place.
Yorkshire

Named after the award-winning chef himself, Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall is an experience in its own right. Making full use of the hotel's Kitchen Garden and hand-picked local suppliers, Shaun uses the freshest ingredients to craft dishes that take fine dining to a new level.
The Cotswolds
The Dining Room at Whatley Manor

Wales
Palé Hall
Michelin Green Star
Serving a flavourful tasting menu and classic afternoon tea in a light and elegantly designed room, the Henry Robertson Dining Room at Palé Hall is where the head chef shows his passion for fine dining – and the accolade of a Michelin Green Star is testament to chef Gareth Stevenson’s relationship with local farmers and suppliers. Each dish is fresh, seasonal, and absolutely delicious.
