Whatley Manor aims to achieve Net Zero emissions for their energy use by 2028 (reducing emissions by 90% compared with 2019), as well as Net Zero emissions for their Supply Chain by 2035 (reducing emissions by 90% compared with 2019).
The team have already achieved some key goals, including removing single-use plastics from guest rooms, educating the team to reduce, reuse and recycle, and rethinking waste management, utilities and supplier relationships.
They've partnered with EarthCheck, the world's leading benchmarking and certification provider to evidence their sustainable initiatives, and in 2022, were awarded Silver Accreditation for their work.
They won Best Spa for Sustainability 2021 with the Good Spa Guide Awards, and are members of the Sustainable Spa Association, the Sustainable Restaurant Association, and It Must Be Now.
