Sustainability at The Hari
The Hari is committed to achieving environmental and social sustainability within the hotel.
The Hari has proudly been awarded Silver Accreditation by EarthCheck Certified, the world’s leading environmental certification and benchmarking program for the travel and tourism industry, and are a member of the NOW Force for Good Alliance, an affiliation of extraordinary places to stay that helps make their sustainability efforts more rigorous, accountable and transparent.
A few initiatives you'll see in action at the hotel include the use of sustainable turn down gifts, mini bar selections and in-room amenities, where FairTrade, cruelty-free and ethically sourced products are used. The Hari also stocks Belu Water, who invests all their profits into saving carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere.
Within the hotel, the ‘Make a Change’ committee looks at broadening environmental awareness within the business, working with colleagues on CSR activities and increasing involvement in the local community.
The Hari is signed up with a Cycle2work scheme, encouraging their employees to undertake healthier journeys and a reduce their carbon footprint. Other partnerships include The Children's Trust and The Born Free Foundation, and they also support the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
