Rockliffe Hall is committed to initiatives that protect the environment around them.

They have replaced small throw-away plastic bottles with large refillable dispensers in all bedrooms and public areas. The Nespresso pods in bedrooms are recycled via a regular Nespresso collection, and the hotel makes a conscious effort to recycle glass, paper, cardboard and food. They keep used batteries which are then collected by a special battery recycling company to be reused or disposed of correctly.

They are continually replacing all normal lighting with LED lighting, which is 80% more efficient than traditional lighting.

Guests are encouraged to reuse linen to cut down on energy and water used in the laundering process.

They have a dedicated team to actively implement CSR within the hotel who meet regularly to work on the hotel's initiatives.

They work with the hospitality charity, Shiva Foundation to create internal training and processes to increase awareness and reduce the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within the business.

They hold an innovative fundraising scheme that runs during November and December where a voluntary £1 is added to guests’ final room bill. At the end of the campaign, they pass on the total money raised to Sleep Smart, who then use the money to support reputable charities locally.

They constantly support, fundraise for, and work with a range of other hospitality charities including Room to Reward, The Springboard Charity, Hospitality Action, Rennie Grove Hospice Care, and Wine To Water.
