Farlam Hall have taken several steps to improve its environmental footprint.
These steps include installing an EV electric car charging point, asking guests if they would mind reusing their towels and linen, and recycling all plastic, printer cartridges, glass, cardboard and tin.
All the hotel's heating and hot water are generated from a 130kwh biomass boiler. They have their own vegetable garden growing as much produce for the kitchen as possible, and any food waste is sent to an anaerobic digester or composted on-site.
