Leighton Library
Dunblane's historic Leighton Library is the oldest purpose-built library in Scotland and was constructed in part using fallen stone from the nearby Bishop's Palace. Founded on the collection of Robert Leighton, the Bishop of Dunblane from 1661 - 1670, the library was gifted to the Dunblane diocese upon his death.
