Bovey Castle: Apple Whisper

The Priory: Not the Gin-uine Article

This considered serve suits a slower, more reflective time of year, favouring restraint over excess. Soft fruit flavours are lifted by floral notes, resulting in a drink that feels composed and deliberate yet never cloying.

  • 50ml Salcombe New London Light 0% Gin
  • 25ml Luscombe Apple Juice
  • 15ml Grenadine
  • 25ml Strawberry syrup
  • Luscombe Elderflower to top

Set within the atmospheric walls of a historic Grade II listed country house hotel, once a monastery dating back centuries, The Priory is a place where time naturally slows. With its roaring fires, flickering candles and sense of hushed intimacy, JJ’s bar provides a fitting setting for a mocktail that is defined by restraint, not potency.

For anyone embracing the sober curious trend, these mocktails deliver the fun, the sparkle and the sense of occasion without going full-strength. They prove that choosing the lighter path doesn’t mean missing out, it just means waking up fresher.
